It's easy access now that the entrance is outside of the gate. Use the same driveway as the visitor's center and then just keep right. If you are going on a Friday or weekend I recommend calling ahead for tee times. There are a lot of outings during the warmer months. A nice course with a few long holes. Mostly flat.
The staff were polite and helpful. The players were nice and courteous. The course was in very good shape. My husband enjoyed playing the course. This was one of our last eleven courses to play to complete our bucket list of playing in all 50 states. My husband worked at Edgewood Arsenal in the beginning of his government career. He is a Vietnam Veteran with the United States Army.

They do more with less. Tee boxes and fairways are below average. Greens were good. Price is right.
This golf course is in terrible shape, yet they still charge a higher rate. I know they aren't funded like other golf courses so it's not all their fault, but something has to change or they will lose full control of the conditions of the course.
I've been going to Ruggles for about 15 years, and this is the worst shape I've ever seen a golf course......especially for the price of $50+. The fairway looks like the grass in my backyard, patches of weeds everywhere, greens are in awful shape. Really disappointed as this used to be a relatively nice course.
Tee boxes need lots of work. Most fairways were brown. Overall an improvement over the past years.
It's a little rough and tumble. Upkeep is manageable, but mediocre... I just played in December so it's acceptable. Decent layout, open fairways, decent distance from the tips. I normally play here because it's easy to get a tee time. Decent greens. Bunkers are horrible, packed in mud sand. I just cheat and fluff my lie in them, no problems then. 😆
